Dear authors,

Thanks for your choice of pulishing your paper on Ultrafast Science. Ultrafast Science content is Open Access, publishing under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY) on a continuous basis. This means that content is freely available to all readers upon publication and content is published as soon as production is complete.

In order to make your research data findable, citable and reusable, we recommend you deposite the correlated data in Science Data Bank (ScienceDB). Research data include the collection of files that support your publication such as spreadsheets, documents, images, videos or audio.

Science Data Bank (ScienceDB)(see more: https://www.scidb.cn/en) is a public, general-purpose data repository aiming to provide data services (e.g. data acquisition, long-term preservation, publishing, sharing and access) for researchers, research projects/teams, journals, institutions, universities, etc. It supports a variety of data acquisition and data licenses. ScienceDB is dedicated to promoting data findable, citable and reusable on the prerequisite of protecting the rights and interests of data owners and it is built and operated by Computer Network Information Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

The features

Generality and openness

ScienceDB is a generalist data repository that publishes datasets in all formats generated from a full spectrum of disciplinary fields. We do, however, have a preferred list of data formats for optimizing data accessibility. We provide two options for data access in the data submission phase, open access or embargo. Please note that the embargoed data will turn to open access after the end date set by the depositors. It means that all the data submitted to ScienceDB will finally open to the public.

Make data findable

All open data published on ScienceDB conform to schema.org standards, possessing well discoverability and machine-readability.

Unique data identifier

Assign a DOI

Each submission is assigned a unique DOI at ScienceDB, apart from the content that has been registered. But only the submission is published on ScienceDB, does the DOI work.

Assign a CSTR

Each submission is assigned a unique CSTR at ScienceDB, apart from the content that has been registered. But only the submission is published on ScienceDB, does the CSTR work.

Automatically registration

Equipped with automatic unique identifier registration and administration services, ScienceDB ensures all published datasets can be uniquely located and identified, either via DOI (Digital Object Identifier) or CSTR (Common Science and Technology Resource).

Data accessibility

All the metadata on ScienceDB are under the CC0 license.

Data citability

At ScienceDB, we provide standardized metadata collection and automated unique identifier registration, coupled with various citation format to ensure the standard citation of all published datasets.

Permanent accessibility

At ScienceDB, we are dedicated to ensuring the permanent accessibility of all open data on this site.

Tracing data impacts

At ScienceDB, each dataset receives impact statistics represented in multiple dimensions and various granularities.

Data views Once a user visits the dataset, it will be counted in Data views.

File downloads Once a user downloads the dataset, it will be counted in File downloads.

Citation downloads ScienceDB provides two formats of citation script exporting, Refworks and BibTex. Downloading any format of citation script on a data page by users will be counted in Citation downloads.

Data manageability

At ScienceDB, we provide professional data management services ranging from data review to access control and version management.

Global interconnectivity

ScienceDB features automated bilingual services, which supports data interconnection and free flow across linguistic and platform boundaries, aiming the rapid dissemination of open data.
